It was wonderful to return to school and see the happy faces of our students. Similar to Mrs Elwin, I felt very priviledged to be part of the Pilgrims of Hope tour in July. The opportunity to deepen my knowledge and faith and to share the experience with such inspirational people is one I'll cherish for a very long time. Many thanks to Mrs Golding, teachers and staff for ensuring all things 'school' were covered while Mrs Elwin and I shared leave!
We look forward to sharing the student's work with families during assemblies this term. Kinder/Year 1 will present at the end of this week. Years 2/3 next week, as part of Book Week celebrations and our Leadership class later in the term. We hope you can join us.
Please look out for upcoming dates for Family Meetings. We encourage families to take the opportunity to meet with staff to discuss your child's progress. It is a chance to ask questions and set some goals for the remainder of the year.
Please keep in your prayers, Mr Lloyd Evans and family, as they prepare to farewell Mrs Margaret Evans. Mrs Evans was a teacher at St Francis Xavier for over 20 years and was well known to many of our current families. She will be dearly missed.
Many thanks to all our staff who support our students - practising speeches and for athletics carnivals, assisting with fundraising for excursions, making brekky, creating great spaces for learning, leading games on the playground, ensuring acheivements and milestones are acknowledged and celebrated. We appreciated your commitment to our students and families.
