Our staff continue to create positive learning environments to help all our students achieve successes in all areas of their learning - their personal and academic growth, their spiritual growth, and their wellbeing. I am extremely grateful for all the little extras our staff do to make our school a very special place!
Mrs Sue MacRae has put in her resignation after working as a member of SFX for more than 27 years. Sue has supported families, students, staff, and many leadership teams in so many exceptional ways! On behalf of the school community I would like to acknowldege and express our sincere gratitude to Mrs MacRae for all the many thousands of ways that she has supported our school family!
During 2022 our many dedicated and supportive families and friends have again raised significant funds that have been used to supply the school with additional resources. Thank you to everyone that helped in any way!
Thanks also to Fr. Dominic, we have really loved celebrating together in our School Liturgies and our Sacramental celebrations throughout the year.
Miss Sarah O’Brien has decided to leave our school family and we would like to acknowledge and thank Miss O’Brien for all the effort, energy and time given over the past couple of years! We are extremely grateful for every day Miss O'Brien was a member of our SFX school family. We wish Sarah every success as you leave SFX and Lake Cargelligo.
So, thank you everyone for a great year and for all the many little things you all do for us all!
Religious Life of School - Prayer
Throughout the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Archbiship Christopher has inaugurated a Year of Walking Together. This theme reminds us that as Catholics and Christians we walk together with each other and Jesus Christ, as the disciples did.
Mary McKillop and St Francis Xavier spent their lives walking with Jesus, sharing the love of Jesus through their words and their actions. Let us walk together with Jesus in our families, our school and our communities this year.
The Risen Lord walked together with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, drawing them from anxiety to hope, from confusion to joy.
Jesus, centre of common Emmaus walk, with You alone to guide us, make Your home in our hearts.
Like Mary, guided by the Holy Spirit, may we walk together in united faith and love. Amen

Small School Swimming Carnival
Congrats to all our brave students, staff and families who braved the fresh conditions on Wednesday morning for the Small Schools Swimming Carnival. While we were missing half our students, those that did complete demonstrated determination and resilience. We think the cold weather made the swim times faster! It was a pleasure to welcome back past students who volunteered their time and talents on the stop watches and the microphone! Many thanks to families that supported the event – cheering, supervising, cooking, even in the pool assisting students! Special thanks to staff and families from NPS, RSPS and LCCS’s Mr Kendell for assisting on the day. And to our staff – absolute rockstars. Thank you for getting it done!
Eligible students (8yrs+) will participate in time trials in Week 1 for Western Region nominations.
