-Improve student achievement in English & Mathematics, through HITP coaching and explicit, evidence-based teaching.
- Enhance student achievement in English & Mathematics by strengthening staff data literacy, focusing on analysing and applying data to inform and improve teaching and learning practices
Build a community that is connected -Improve student attendance and strengthen family engagement to support learning and wellbeing.
It's hard to believe that we are nearly halfway through the term. We have had a week full of fun! Infants have been to the Theatre to watch The Gruffalo. Years 3/4 went to the movies to watch The Wild Robot, the book their literacy unit is based on. Yesterday our Primary students participated in a Gala Day. Our very proud teachers reported that our students consistently demonstrated their school values, friendship and sportmanship skills. A lot of work goes into organising events and most of this is done outside of school times. Thank you to each of our amazing staff for the additional work they do. We appreciate you very much!
We welcomed our Inclusion Team this week. They spent time observing students and working with teachers to ensure we are meeting students needs. It was a great opportunity for the Team to get to know our Kinder students for next year!
Next week, we will begin our swim sessions. 6 sessions will be held over Weeks 5 and 6. Many thanks to Mrs Golding and Ms Ashlea for completing the Swim Safety training last Friday night so we can complete the program. Please ensure consent is provided on COMPASS for these sessions. Please contact the office for a paper note if required. Our students will compete in the Small Schools Swim Carnival on Friday 6th December. More information to come.
We will have an extended assembly on Tuesday morning to recognised student achievement and effort. Families are welcome to join us.
“Go and invite everyone to the banquet" (Matthew 20:9)
Pope Francis' message of inclusion raises the question of what unites us all and presents a valuable opportunity for growth and unity, as it requires everyone to open their hearts and minds to each other.
Guided by the Gospel, we can find answers to creating ways of inclusion and dialogue.
The Gospel is made to gather and not divide, to invite and not to exclude. This is the message Pope Francis shares, reminding everyone of the importance of sharing the Gospel and, above all, reaching out to all by inviting them to be part of the celebration we call “life,” as we all have a seat at the table.
- Heavenly Father, when your only begotten Son Jesus Christ rose from the dead, he commissioned his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” and you remind us that through our Baptism we are made sharers in the mission of the Church.
Help us make it possible for all peoples to experience the saving love and mercy of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
