Classroom Update
Barrandhang (Kindergarten/Year 1)
In Literacy we have started to learn some letters and sounds. We have been introduced to Maggie Mouse - mmmm sound and the letter m, as well as Sammy Seal - ssss sound and the letter s. Up next we will meet Tommy Tiger - ttt sound and the letter t and then Andy Ant - a sound and letter a.
In our Religion/History unit we are learning about Jesus' family and our families. We are aiming to learn about our history and our family history. Mrs Elwin brought in her oldest toys, Charlie Bear (56 years old) and her Bridal doll ( 50+years old).
All students in Kinder/1/2 took home a home assignment this week. Students are asked to find out how their names were chosen, what is an old object that their family owns and any old photos that they can share and compare.
In Science students will be making a Bird Feeder as they learn that all Living Things need air, FOOD, water and shelter to survive.
