Principal's Report
What a wonderful week we have had at school this week... Celebrating St Patrick's Day with a Green Fundraising Day, our first Books in Home and K/1/2 assembly and celebrating Harmony Day with families!
The shamrock is one of the most recognizable symbols used by St. Patrick. St. Patrick demonstrated the meaning of the Holy Trinity - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - by showing the public that the shamrock is one leaf with three parts, just as Christians believe God is one entity with three persons.
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
Students rotated around 5 different activities including making sushi, fried bread and the good old Vegemite sandwich and Fairy Bread! A big thank you to Dev's family for joining us to share with the students about one of their special celebrations.
All enjoyed sharing the food together at lunch time.
The highlight for me this week was seeing how confident our Kinder students were in sharing their learning and singing and dancing along with the Year 1/2 students. I was extremely proud of all the students and their amazing teachers!
