Classroom Update

Barrandhang (Kindergarten/Year 1)

May be an image of 5 people and text
The Kinder/Yr 1 class are looking at what living things need to survive such as air, water, shelter and food as part of science - with a particular focus on birds. The K/1 class made bird feeders and will be observing these through their classroom window over the next few days.
Dinawan (Year 1/2)
In week seven, Dinawan students demonstrated remarkable resilience in adapting to our established routine, rules, and expectations. Our collaborative efforts have ensured that learning remains both enjoyable and stimulating, thereby fostering continued academic progress among our students. Dinawan students have forged wonderful friendships that are poised to blossom throughout the remainder of the year. These relationships have been nurtured through acts of kindness, genuine connection, and mutual respect, laying a strong foundation for continued growth

Kinder/1/2 Religion History Unit
In our lessons this term we have been looking at families - Jesus' family and our own families. We are also aiming to learn about our family's history. Students have been tasked with finding out about their own history - why they have their names, and their family's history - old objects and old photos.
Billy Hayward brought into school some old treasures to share with the class, her dad's jumper and an aunties koala, as well as some great photos.

Ivy shared where her name came from, the oldest object that her family has - a 98 year old horse fly veil made by her great grandfather(when he was 10 years old!)  and some great photos as well!
Students can bring items in any day and we will aim to share them with the class.
