Classroom Update
Reading is a gateway to knowledge, imagination, and personal growth. Libraries, as treasure troves of information, offer Dinawan students access to a vast array of books and resources. By reading regularly, we can broaden their horizons, develop critical thinking skills, and find inspiration in the stories and ideas of others. Ms. Wheeler wears the school Librarian hat, and plays a crucial role in promoting literacy and lifelong learning, ensuring that knowledge is accessible to all. Mrs. Wheeler said: "Embracing reading and utilising libraries can enrich our lives and empower us to navigate the world with greater understanding and empathy".
Library times for Dinawan are now on Tuesday mornings from 9-10am, students engage in a variety of reading and writing activities that foster their literacy growth and progression.
Working hard as always in the 3/4 learning space, all children are becoming more confident and responding with cues during daily reviews. Currently we are reading the novel ‘Storm Boy’ using the content and topic to deepen our knowledge and understanding of text and setting.
Reading is extremely important and we love seeing progress in our daily reads with each student.
