Welcome back from Long Service Leave Ms Wheeler! We are very excited to have you back with us! Ms Wheeler will be teaching Kinder/Year 1 while Mrs Worland is away for the next few weeks.

Congratulations Kinder and Year 1 on their wonderful assembly last Friday! We are super proud of their confidence and enjoyed seeing the learning that you shared with our school community! Well done Year 1 for supporting our Kinder students and helping them feel so secure at school!

As a school community we celebrated together last Friday as our Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 students, with Fr Hilary who led us in our school mass for the first Friday of Lent. Lent is a liturgical season of preparation, where we journey together in hope, as we get ready for Easter—the Church’s greatest celebration.

Pope Francis’ message for Lent asks us “to examine whether in our lives, in our families, in the places where we work and spend our time, we are capable of walking together with others, listening to them, … Whether we show ourselves welcoming, …Whether we make others feel a part of the community…” Whether we journey together in hope.

This week we celebrated St Patrick's Day with fundraising for Project Compassion. Thank you to all who participated and supported this fundraiser. Harmony Day will be celebrated this week. We recognise our diversity and bringing together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

NAPLAN finishes this week with students in Year 3 and Year 5 having participated in Writing, Reading, Language Conventions and Numeracy assessments. We are extremely proud of all our students and how they participated with confidence in these national assessments.

We also had our first School Community Council (SCC) meeting this week, including our AGM. Thank you to our 2024 SCC committee for your wonderful support of our school and congratulations to our 2025 committee:-
