We have had a great week! We welcomed our new Executive Director, Mr David de Carvalho. We celebrated the outstanding attendance of many of our students. We acknowledged learning achievements and progress and each class celebrated the end of another term. Mr de Carvalho was generous with his time with teachers and students, observing lessons and  presentations and asking lots of questions. Our school pride was shining through with every student in uniform, well done students! Many thanks to our families who joined us for morning tea to share their positives and challenges of our school community, we appreciate your support. I received an email congratulating our students, families and staff on the work that has gone into improving attendance. Our school has seen some of the biggest growth across this system this term. We currently have 63% of our students with attendance above 90% - woohoo! Semester reports will be avilable this afternoon. Family meetings will be available next term, once both Mrs Elwin and I return from leave. I hope your students are proud of their efforts this term. Each student, their families and every staff member is an important part of our school family. Together, we achieve wonderful things! I'm hoping you all have a wonderful break and a smooth start to term 3. Mrs Elwin will be back to kick off the term. I am on leave until Week 3.
