Principal's Report
Saint Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager who tragically died in 2006, has been canonised by Pope Leo XIV in a ceremony at the Vatican this week.
Carlos noted that there were large crowds lining up for sporting events and concerts but not for our Eucharistic celebrations, which he loved and celebrated regularly. He was particularly passionate about Eucharistic miracles: supernatural events involving consecrated bread and wine as the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ.
At 11 years old, he created an interactive website (https://www.miracolieucaristici.org/en/en_map.html ) cataloguing these miracles around the world. It is still accessible today, and has been displayed as an exhibition on five continents.
Carlos lived a good life, he gave out sleeping bags to the homeless, he would give the poor money from his own allowance, and he also protected other kids from being bullied.
Last weekend we celebrated Father's Day, so I'd like to give thanks for our Dads, Grandfathers, Godfathers, and all men who were like Dads for us and most of all, let us give thanks to God, our Father, for, to do so, is right and just! Thank you for the support you give to our school community and to our students.
Tommorow BROOKLYN GOLDING will be representing our school and all the schools in the Western Region in the Archdiocesan Public Speaking Competition at Cootamundra. A big CONGRATULATIONS to Brooklyn for her efforts and achievement in Public Speaking so far! We wish her all the very best with her performance tomorrow! Good Luck!
