Principal's Report

As we wrap up our third term for the year, I continue to be amazed and humbled by our students and staff. There have been so many occassions where I have observed our Mission Statement in action in our school community. Students and staff have definately earned their down time over the next two weeks!

Many thanks to all families who supported students to participate in the Oli Concert last week. What a fantastic night, showcasing our whole community. Well done Mr K and team! Many thanks to OT Student, Miss Sarah, who assisted us with the planning and preparation of our item. Big thanks to Miss Mackenna and Ms Ash who guided us on the night. We all loved it!

We have had our biggest number of students yet, eligible to attend today's Reward Day. We enjoyed day full of Aussie Culture, with a visit to the Wiradjuri Cultural Centre followed by a trip to the Utes in the Paddock and lunch at the tourist centre. We are hoping that next term every student will be able to join our Term 4 reward day. Congratulations also, to the seven students who were invited to the 100s club lunch - Outstanding effort!

Last week we received the sad news of the passing of Bishop Pat Power. We were lucky to welcome Bishop Pat many times over the years when he filled in for our parish priests. Bishop Pat loved spending time in Lake. Waching the student's eyes grow wide and then the huge smiles on their faces, as he walked into church with his dog, will always be a fond memory. Bishop Pat was a man of great prayerfulness and holiness, gentleness and compassion. He welcomed everyone where they were at in their faith journey, inviting all to celebrate God's love. He will be greatly missed.

We hope the coming weeks are full of fun times with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday 13th October.
