Principal's Report
Two weeks into Term 4 and we are busy! A big welcome to Diya and her family and a big welcome back to Martin and his family. More smiley faces for the Kinder room. Students are to be commended on remembering their hats and water bottles, we are needing to remind them less every day!
We look forward to welcoming our Transition cohort next week for Kinder Transition. It's always an exciting time for our students who love looking after our new students. We thank all families for moving to nut free, to ensure our school environment is a safe place for all students.
Information for our upcoming Water safety program will be coming out soon. We request families provide as much information as possible about their child's confidence and ability in the water. This enables us to group students and promotes safety. The program is part of the curriculum and all students are expected to participate.
We have some exciting events happening in Term 4 - Halloween Disco, Beach to Bush Day, Swim Carnival, Thanksgiving Mass, Presentation Evening and our Reward Days. Please look out for information on events as they come up, we will require volunteers for some events and students will need to meet attendance requirements for others. Please remember that students must have attendance above 85% to participate in reward days.
Staff are currently participating in a Child Safety Standards audit. We need to complete a self assessment against the national 10 Child Safety Standards. There will be parts of the audit where we seek both student and family input and feedback. If you have any questions around this, or would like to participate, please let Mrs Morris know asap.
We look forward to seeing you all soon!
