Welcome Back to Term 4!

We have had a busy but very productive week as a school this week. Staff participated in 2 Professional Learning days at the beginning of the week.

Monday's day was on the Well-Being Framework, looking at what we do as a school, what we do well and where to next. We were fortunate to have Stephen Barnard and Carolyn McFarland support us through this day and they will continue to support us as we move to continue to support the well being of all.

Tuesday we joined with other schools to listen to and work with James Nottingham. James is co-founder and director of Challenging Learning, a group of companies in 6 countries that work with schools and educators to transform classrooms, implementing the most up-to-date research and strategies that really work! The focus on the day was the Feedback process.

Yesterday we celebrated International Rural Women's Day which was a lovely celebration with some of our mothers and grandmothers, present and past! The United Nations website, https://www.un.org/en/observances/rural-women-day provides some insights into these amazing women across our world, and we were privileged to spend morning tea with some of them!

Also, yesterday and today staff worked with Leonie Anstey. Leonie is an Educational Consultant in Instructional Leadership and Mathematics & Numeracy Education. As a staff we have had the privilege of working with Leonie over the past 4 years. Every day we spend with Leonie improves our teaching skills and enables us to better meet the educational needs of our students. 

We are looking forward to a great term!
