Classroom Update
Kinder is excited to have begun our Best Start testing with our very first day of school on Thursday! It's been lots of fun learning our school and class rules and catching up with friends. Stay tuned for lots of Kinder fun and photos in the next newsletter edition.
We started our new Resilience Project on Wednesday, talking about gratitude and taking a walk around the school, pointing out things we are grateful for. Some of the responses the students gave included; the trees, School Bus, shade, garden, Library, plants, sandpit, Park, chalkboard, shops, water tank, friends and family, and the cricket pitch, just to mention a few. After coming back from our walk, we created a Gratitude Garden in the classroom, using flowers that the students wrote things they are grateful for on. These were then stuck up onto the window to create our Gratitude Garden.
We also took photos this week for the students first days and measured how tall they all were. We will take last day photos and remeasure how tall they are at the end of the year to see how much they change over the year.
We would love it if you can read with your children of an afternoon as their homework.
We cannot wait to spend this year getting to know and teach the future world changers!
