Classroom Update
Kindergarten
Kinder is steaming along with learning sounds and letters, practising handwriting and writing simple sentences such as ‘the fat cat’. We are learning to describe nouns and unjumble silly sentences. We are particularly loving our resilience project lessons where we learn about special things such as gratitude, helping others and feelings.
Year 1/2
Kinder and 1/2 have done a lot of learning over the last two weeks. Some of the many exciting things we got up to include; reading the book ‘Too Many Elephants in this House’ by Ursula Dubosarsky and Andrew Joyner and creating elephant artworks to hang up in the Library and having movement breaks at the park and in the classroom. In History and Religion, infants have been learning about Jesus’ family and what life was like in the time of of Jesus. We’ve drawn pictures of our family and identified all the members of our unique families. 1/2 have also been working on their addition using a number line, creating long lines of dominos, and making pictures with lots of different shapes.
