Classroom Update

Kindergarten and Year 1/2

K-2 have been busy over the past 2 weeks learning about emotions/feelings, and how we can express ourselves through creativity. We engaged in activities for Dot Day which is all about inspiring creativity and allowing people young and old to share their art with others around them. For Dot Day K-2 decorated circles, big and small, which we have stuck up on the board outside the 1/2 room. We also listened to the stories ‘Outside over There’ by Maurice Sendak and ‘Little Toot’ by Hardie Gramatky and explored how the characters were responsible and irresponsible. We then explored how we can be responsible at school and talked about chores/jobs we have at home.
