Dear Families
Another week of remote learning down, two to go! We are blown away by the resilience, creativity and determination shown by our students to continue their learning. We are blown away by the resilience, creativity and determination shown by our families to support their children. We are super proud of each of you!
August 30 – September 3 is Australian Teacher Assistant Appreciation Week. There are not enough words to describe the amazing humans our school is lucky enough to have in our classrooms. We are sad that we are not able to gather to celebrate with Aunty Sharon, Aunty Georgina, Miss Susanna, Miss Nicole, Miss Emily, Miss Karli, Miss Maddie and John. We hope they know how special they are to us.
Please note that the work in the next learning packs is for the remainder of the term. Staff will be contacting students during Week 9 and Week 10 to arrange times to monitor learning.
There was to be a pupil free day on Friday 9th September for all staff to participate in a Spirituality Day. Sadly, we have had to postpone the day until next term. Families will be notified of the date as soon as it is confirmed. We encourage students and families to have the day just to be together – no learning required!
We wish you all a healthy and happy break from school. We pray that we return to Face to Face learning at the beginning of next term as we welcome Mrs Elwin back, with great excitement from me! I want to thank the families that have reached out and offered support during this term.
I want to finish with a note of gratitude – thank you to every staff member for your commitment to our school community. The care and consideration you have show when preparing packs, engaging with families, supervising learning while juggling the expectations of your role, is outstanding. Our world is a better place because of each of you.
Stay healthy, happy and connected!
