Matthew 5:14-16
Mission through Courage, Kindness and Reconciliation
During 2024 our educational focus will be to improve Literacy and Numeracy skills — staff, students and families working together so all our students achieve at least 12 months growth. Other goals for the year are:
Build a community that continues to learn - Implement system Literacy and Numeracy initiatives which will increase student assessment data.
Enhance and maintain the wellbeing of all - Continued increase of attendance rates and implementation of school-wide Well Being Policy.
Build a community that is connected - Increased promotion of the school Vision and Mission statements throughout the community and to continue to increase family attendance at school events.
Many thanks to the Families who joined us for morning assembly today. It was a great way to end the term - acknowledging another great term of learning, leadership, friendship and fun! Special Shout Out to Mrs Anita Carter for receiving the Principal's award. Mrs Carter is always looking for opportunities for students to shine. She is a great example of living our values everyday. Congratulations to all award recipients today, especially the family awards!
Student's last day for the term is tomorrow, Thursday 26th. There will be no staff on site on Friday, as we are travelling to Temora to participate in RE professional development. Students return on Tuesday 15th October.
Term 4 is always a busy one with assessments and reports, reward days, excursions, play practice and learning! As per our policy, any student with attendance below 80% may not be eligible to participate in events. Please let us know if you require support with school attendance for your child. Another reminder to families is that any hand-held or worn device is not permitted at school. If students are bringing phones or watches to school, they are required to sign them into the school office at the start of the day. This is in line with both CGCE policy and the NSW Department of Education policy.
If you get a chance between now and end of term, please say 'thanks and have a good break' to the staff. Their commitment to ensuring each child experiences success and a sense of belonging to our school family, is exceptional. They are wonderful humans!
We welcomed Brooke and Shane from Growing Lachlan who are community partners for the Lake Learning Links (LLL) - Futures. They visted us to kick off the project during the week at SFX. A big Thank you to you both!
Our Leaders were thoroughly engaged, with thoughtful and enthusiastic responses.
