Mission through Courage, Kindness and Reconciliation

During 2025 our educational focus will be to improve Literacy and Numeracy skills — staff, students and families working together so all our students achieve at least 12 months growth. Other goals for the year are:
Build a community that continues to learn
-Improve student achievement in English & Mathematics, through HITP coaching and explicit, evidence-based teaching.
- Enhance student achievement in English & Mathematics by strengthening staff data literacy, focusing on analysing and applying data to inform and improve teaching and learning practices
Build a community that is connected -Improve student attendance and strengthen family engagement to support learning and wellbeing.
Saint Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager who tragically died in 2006, has been canonised by Pope Leo XIV in a ceremony at the Vatican this week.
Carlos noted that there were large crowds lining up for sporting events and concerts but not for our Eucharistic celebrations, which he loved and celebrated regularly. He was particularly passionate about Eucharistic miracles: supernatural events involving consecrated bread and wine as the literal body and blood of Jesus Christ.
At 11 years old, he created an interactive website (https://www.miracolieucaristici.org/en/en_map.html ) cataloguing these miracles around the world. It is still accessible today, and has been displayed as an exhibition on five continents.
Carlos lived a good life, he gave out sleeping bags to the homeless, he would give the poor money from his own allowance, and he also protected other kids from being bullied.
Last weekend we celebrated Father's Day, so I'd like to give thanks for our Dads, Grandfathers, Godfathers, and all men who were like Dads for us and most of all, let us give thanks to God, our Father, for, to do so, is right and just! Thank you for the support you give to our school community and to our students.

Bidyin (Year 4/5/6)
On Wednesday, the group travelled to Bendigo, where they rode the vintage tram, toured an underground mine, and visited the Golden Dragon Museum. Later that day, they headed to Shepparton. The final day included a town-wide adventure, searching for the many scattered, life-sized, painted fibreglass cows, followed by a visit to the Moooving Art exhibition. There, students learned about artist Brett Whiteley and created clay artworks inspired by his bird-themed pieces. On the way home, they stopped at the iconic Big Strawberry before enjoying dinner in Griffith and completing the final leg of the journey. It was a memorable trip filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable experiences.
Small School Display - 1st Place.
