Communication
At St Francis Xavier we use a number of platforms to communicate with parents as we feel it is important to reach all of our families with current and relevent information.
COMPASS APP
Our School uses Compass as our main administration system for students. Integrated with this system is the Parent Portal, which allows parents/carers to confidentially access information about their child/ren in the school setting, including attendance data and student academic reports. Parents/carers will also be able to notify the school about student absences through the portal. We will provide details r about information which will be shared and accessed through the Parent Portal. Each parent/carer has a unique username and login which will allow access to the Parent Portal.
NEWSLETTERS
The School Newsletter is sent home each fortnight via email, Compass Ap, on Facebook or with the eldest child. The newsletter is also available on the school’s website and the school’s Schoolzine app. If any family member wishes to have the newsletter emailed each week they need only contact the office.
SCHOOLZINE APP—SZapp
The School has our own Schoolzine iPhone and Android app to help us communicate effectively with our community. The app is very assessable for the school community.
To install it, just download SZapp and search for our school name “St Francis Xavier School Lake Cargelligo”.
FACEBOOK PAGE
The school has their own Facebook page where we communicate with families through messages and notes and also share the students work and achievements. Search ‘St Francis Xavier School Lake Cargelligo’
ASSEMBLIES
Assemblies are held:- each Monday morning; where we come together to pray our school prayer, sing the National Anthem and Raise the Flags.
Tuesday – Friday mornings – the school prayer is shared together and special announcements are made (including birthdays).
Once a term, each class will host an assembly and on occasion special assemblies will occur – Families will be notified of these special assemblies through the newsletter or on Facebook. Families and friends are always welcome at School Assemblies.

Our School mobile is another tool we use to communicate with families and for families to communicate with us.
